The climatic changes and the increasing demand for energy reduction and environmental impact mitigation have prioritized the design of smart buildings within the field of civil engineering. By utilizing artificial intelligence, modern data analysis methods, and advanced materials such as ultra-high-performance concrete or lightweight composites, structural systems can be designed in a more dynamic and adaptable manner to changing climatic conditions. This paper presents a comprehensive approach for the design and construction of smart buildings, which includes dynamic structural modeling, the use of monitoring sensors to detect environmental changes, and optimization strategies at the material and component levels. Artificial intelligence, through continuous analysis of climatic data and evaluating the behavior of structures under various loadings, facilitates rapid decision-making and the implementation of adaptive modifications. Additionally, advanced materials with enhanced mechanical and thermal properties not only ensure greater durability under varying climatic conditions but also contribute to extending the service life of structures and reducing maintenance costs. The anticipated results of this research indicate increased energy efficiency, reduced environmental impacts, and improved durability of civil structures against stresses induced by climatic changes. Finally, this research provides recommendations for developing management frameworks and policy-making strategies, offering a roadmap for creating sustainable and intelligent infrastructure.
